Camilla and Sophia turned their rides into a community
Camilla Jørgensen and Sophia Kjær are the creative forces behind WeCycling. The two women started out as acquaintances. Over time they found a close friendship through their shared passion for cycling. The friendship became the foundation of WeCycling, a community that now gathers women of all ages and all levels.
WeCycling is not just a cycling community. It is a new space where women can share the joy of cycling regardless of experience and level. The idea arose in the autumn of 2022. Despite the time pressure at the start, it became the beginning of a year of friendship. It has since blossomed into a vibrant community.

A name rooted in renewal and community
The name WeCycling comes from the concept of recycling, which carries a deeper meaning. Just as recycling is about preserving the value of a material, WeCycling is about preserving the motivation and joy of cycling. The goal is ultimately to create a sustainable community where women can continuously recreate and strengthen their joy of cycling by supporting and inspiring each other across their individual cycling journeys.

Friendship in motion on WeCycling’s first ride
WeCycling’s first event was a summer-house trip to Fjellerup Strand with a focus on the social. The girls who took part came from all over the country and created motivation and new friendships across age, other interests and geography. A trip that will certainly be repeated.
